Rise & Shine

As if I would drink that stuff ...

-So, Colts fans, what did you think of Andrew Luck's performance last night? Only throwing 4 incompletions, including 15-15 on Stanford's touchdown drives (albeit against a pathetic/nonexistent defense) ... it's a shame he had to go out the way he did, thanks to Ray Finkel suiting up in a Stanford uniform.

-Who else was thinking of the spread when they overturned Oklahoma State's touchdown at the goal line, resulting in the winning field goal? (Spread was -4.5 or -5)

-Banner day for the Big Ten, once again. 1-4 after going 0-5 last year on "New Year's Day" bowl games. Solid work. Should have been 0-5, but Mark Richt coaches one of the teams involved. Seriously, Mark Richt is terrible. His pathetic schedule next year (no Ark, Bama, LSU) will be another case of smoke/mirrors as his Georgia Bulldogs enter the top 6 at some point, then get housed in a bowl game that matters.

-Oregon's helmets were the sh*t. That is all.

-The Miami Heat actually lost a game yesterday (at home, no less). I guess this means there will be no undefeated season for them, after all. Since the NBA championship trophy was already mailed to them last month, do we even need to finish out the regular season at this point?

-Apparently this thing happened yesterday. I'm sure Chad can tell you all about it, if you're really interested. I kid, I kid. No, really, I didn't watch a second of it, though I find the concept rather interesting. There was just too much football being played.

-I mean, look at this thing:

Could not agree more about oregon's helmets. After so many horrific uniform failures over the years, someone in the Ducks' athletic department got this one soooo right.

The badgers put up a valiant effort in the rose bowl, but they had no chance against that bling.

Riddell is going to make replica full and mini-sized Oregon helmets. I don't give a crap about Oregon football, but I bet that mini-helmet would look sweet sitting on the shelf in the office w/ my random bobbleheads.
